UofL Physicians’ board-certified general obstetrician-gynecologists serve either as primary health care providers or consultants for women from the teenage through menopausal years, offering screening, evaluation and counseling based on age and risk factors.
Health examinations for screening and counseling are tailored specifically to address risk factors for the patient’s age. An obstetrician-gynecologist can be the chief care provider for women ages 19-39, providing preventive health care and specialized obstetrics and gynecology care.
This builds relationships with their patients that transcend the disease spectrum and extend to preventive care, early intervention, routine assessments and management of medical disorders.
As the major providers with specialized skills and training in reproductive disorders of women, our physicians manage all aspects of care for and serve as advisors to continue health maintenance.
